Evan's First Word

EVAN FINALLY SPOKE HIS FIRST WORD, AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER! HE SAID, "MAMA." I WAS IN THE BATHROOM, OF ALL PLACES BRUSHING MY HAIR, WHEN HE SAID IT, AND I WASN'T 100% SURE, SO I ASKED PABLO AND HE SAID YES. HE WAS A LITTLE SAD ONLY BECAUSE HE WANTED HIS FIRST WORD TO BE DADDA OF COURSE. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CAPTURE IT ON VIDEO YET. HE IS A BIT ELUSIVE WHEN IT COMES TO WHEN HE'LL ACTUALLY SAY IT. IT ISN'T A CONSISTANT THING JUST YET, BUT WHEN HE DOES SAY IT, MY HEART JUST MELTS!! KAITLYN'S FIRST WORD WAS DADDA, SO IT IS ONLY FITTING THAT I SHOULD GET THE FIRST WORD THIS TIME AROUND, RIGHT?

I just had to share..."I'm soo tired"

I couldn't resist...he fell asleep obviously while playing in his jumper..at first I didn't notice because usually he starts to cry when he is done, but this time he must have been too tired! And I love the fact that he is still holding on to the toy!! He has done that a few times before, but I've never had a camera for it.

Evan's Crawling!!

I am so thrilled that my sweet little boy is crawling! He took his first few steps on January 3rd, and each day has continually gotten better!! I just wanted to wait and blog about it until he was off and crawling all over!! He is just 7 going on 8 months! I guess really he's not too far off from where his sister was at his age. She started crawling at 6 1/2 mos., so we'll see if he keeps up the pace. So, the next step would be walking and Kaitlyn did that at 8 1/2 mos. I just can't believe how incredibly fast this past year has gone. I wish I knew how to hook up a video, of him crawling, but I have no clue how to do that. So, maybe someone out there can tell me how.

Happy 4th Birthday Kaitlyn! (I know it's a little late!)

We love our little girl, who I can't believe is 4!! This is the strawberry castle cake that I thought I would try and make, but oddly enough-Pablo ended up doing the whole thing...I simply have no cake decorating skill...you should have seen it before he fixed it...it was awful!! Kaitlyn had some of her cousins over along with some of her friends!! She later told me that this was her best birthday ever!! It is also funny because we celebrated the day before on a sunday, and so when it was her actual birthday she got a little confused and said, "It's my birthday again? So, I'm 5 now?" It was so cute! She is a really great kid for the most part...and a great big sis!! Can't wait until next year!! WE LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!! Happy Birthday once again!!
